Ban & Appeal Policy
Ferrisvheel.net — Ban & Appeal Policy
Effective date: 5 October 2026
Website: ferrisvheel.net
Appeals: ferrisvheel.net/appeal
Support: support@ferrisvheel.net
1. Purpose
This policy explains how moderation actions and punishments are handled and how affected players may request a review of a decision made by Ferrisvheel staff.
Ferrisvheel aims to handle appeals fairly and considers the circumstances surrounding each case individually.
2. Who Can Appeal
A player affected by a moderation action may submit an appeal where an appeal option is available.
This may include:
- Temporary bans;
- Permanent bans;
- Whitelist removal;
- Mutes or communication restrictions;
- Forum or website restrictions; and
- Other significant moderation actions.
Appeals should normally be submitted by the player affected by the punishment.
3. Submitting an Appeal
Punishment appeals must be submitted through the official Ferrisvheel appeal system:
ferrisvheel.net/appeal
Where requested, applicants should provide accurate information relating to the punishment and explain why they believe the action should be reconsidered.
Providing additional context, acknowledging relevant behaviour, or supplying evidence may assist staff when reviewing an appeal.
support@ferrisvheel.net is not the primary channel for punishment appeals. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the appeal system, you may contact support for assistance.
4. Appeal Review
Appeals are reviewed by authorised Ferrisvheel staff.
When considering an appeal, staff may review:
- The original reason for the punishment;
- Server and moderation records;
- Relevant chat or activity logs;
- Evidence associated with the original action;
- Information provided in the appeal;
- Previous moderation history where relevant;
- The severity and circumstances of the behaviour; and
- Any new information that may affect the original decision.
Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that a punishment will be removed or reduced.
5. Appeal Outcomes
Following review, an appeal may result in the original action being:
- Upheld — the original punishment remains in place;
- Reduced — the severity or duration of the punishment is reduced;
- Modified — the punishment or its conditions are changed; or
- Removed — the punishment is overturned.
Where appropriate, Ferrisvheel may provide an explanation of the decision.
6. Good-Faith Appeals
Appeals should be submitted honestly and in good faith.
Players are encouraged to explain the situation clearly rather than attempting to manipulate, threaten, harass, or pressure staff into changing a decision.
Providing deliberately false information or fabricated evidence may affect the outcome of an appeal and may result in additional moderation action.
7. Repeated Appeals
Submitting repeated appeals does not guarantee that a decision will be reconsidered.
Where an appeal has already been reviewed, Ferrisvheel may decline further appeals unless:
- New relevant information is available;
- Circumstances have materially changed; or
- Staff have specifically permitted another appeal.
Repeatedly submitting substantially identical appeals or deliberately abusing the appeal system may result in restrictions on further submissions.
8. Ban Evasion
Players must not attempt to circumvent a punishment while an appeal is pending or after an appeal has been denied.
Ban evasion may include using:
- Alternate Minecraft accounts;
- Another person's account;
- Alternate forum or website accounts; or
- Other methods intended to bypass an active restriction.
Attempting to evade a punishment may result in additional action and may negatively affect an existing or future appeal.
9. Confidentiality
Ferrisvheel may withhold information where disclosure could:
- Compromise another player's privacy;
- Reveal confidential reports;
- Expose staff-only information;
- Reveal security or anti-abuse systems; or
- Interfere with an investigation.
As a result, staff may not always be able to provide every piece of evidence or information considered when making a moderation decision.
10. Final Decisions
Ferrisvheel may determine that a moderation decision has been sufficiently reviewed and consider the matter closed.
Further appeals may be declined unless materially new information becomes available.
Serious misconduct, security threats, deliberate attacks against Ferrisvheel infrastructure, or other exceptional circumstances may result in appeal eligibility being restricted.
11. Technical Problems With Appeals
If you are unable to access or submit an appeal because of a technical problem with ferrisvheel.net, contact:
support@ferrisvheel.net
Support may assist with accessing the appeal process but should not be used to bypass the official appeal system.
12. Official Appeal Portal
All eligible punishment appeals should be submitted through:
ferrisvheel.net/appeal
This is the official Ferrisvheel channel for requesting review of a punishment or significant moderation action.
